I guess they don’t think their degrees are worth it
Ohio State University is offering a new area of study for its female students.
In March of 2021, a student group at the university held a seminar on how to start an Only Fans (OF) and why they should in the first place.
For those who may not be familiar with the platform, allow me to explain.
OF is similar to a social media platform. The only difference is users are able to charge their subscribers to pay a monthly fee in exchange for nude photos and sex videos.
Essentially, it’s paid porn.
Once a subscriber pays the monthly fee, they have access to view all of the photos and videos that the creator has uploaded.
When I first heard about it, I didn't think people would pay when there is an endless amount of dirty content for free.
I was wrong.
The top “creator” on the platform is Blac Chyna. It is estimated she makes around $20 million per month.
Bella Thorne is second. She makes an estimated $11 million per month.
Let that one sink in.
Now you might be thinking that those are just outliers. What’s the average person making?
It’s around $180 per month.
While this is a far cry from the top earners, there is serious potential to make a lot more.
Subscribers can request custom videos or photos and are charged extra.
Now that you know OF is a legitimate way to make some money, let’s get back to Ohio State.
Starting an OnlyFans? Join us for a panel with OnlyFans content creators to discuss their experiences and destigmatizing digital sex work,” read the group’s registration page.
The seminar was hosted by Student Advocates of Sexual Health Awareness (SASHA).
They are a pending student group on the official school website.
Some might say that the school is not aware of the group. Obviously, if I know enough about it, you can bet the school knows about it too.
They don’t seem to be bothered by this.
This is a bad look for Ohio State. There are recruiters attempting to lure college girls into making an OF.
There is a video of the recruiter asking girls if they want to drop out of school and make six figures a year.
One girl is seen not swayed initially, but she proceeds to talk to the recruiter after he mentions the amount of money that is possible to make.
It’s sad for a school to be promoting sex work.
And yes, they are allowing this seminar to take place with their name attached to it. Therefore, they are promoting it themselves.
If they had a problem with it, they would have banned the student group entirely or at a minimum mentioned that they did not agree with this and forced the group to remove their name from it.
None of this happened.
Unfortunately, No one seems to be interested in this.
I can only imagine the parents at home that heard about this OF recruiter talking to their daughter.
Perhaps the parents had paid a big chunk of her education already and took out loans.
Now here is some stranger telling their daughter that getting naked in front of a camera is the real way for them to make money.
Forget about the degree.
Of course, the best way for a woman to make money is by using her body. the only thing she has of value is her body.
What a fucked up situation.
If someone can explain how this is a good thing or why it's not that serious, please let me know.
